Mother/Daughter Luncheon

Cutie and I were able to attend the Mother/Daughter Luncheon last weekend together. I still can't believe my baby is almost 9 years old! Where is the time going? She sang, "This is My Father's World" with the girls choir after lunch. So sweet to listen to them sing and have an afternoon just the two of us. I will always treasure each moment with her. She is such a fun, loving and super silly girl! I love you Cutie!

You are both beautiful! And one thing is glaringly obvious...I need a daughter!!! How fun!!!

The Nancy E. Turner books (These is My Words, Sarah's Quilt and The Star Garden) are all set in the Arizona territory. They are fabulous! But I grew up in rural Arizona so that might be why I am so fond of them! It took me a minute to get into These is My Words but after the first couple of chapters I was hooked! The author used her Grandmother's journals for a school assignment and wound up fictionalizing the story a bit and came up with these novels. I fell head over heels in love with the character of Sarah's 2nd husband, Jack. And I really liked Udell Hannah in the third book. They are just really good books if you get a chance to read them. Sarah is a wife, mother, pioneering woman of the west and such an endearing character. If you read them please let me know what you think!
